Established in 1993, Hoa Lam formerly known as Nhat Nguyen Transport Trading Service Company Limited is co-founded by a husband-and-wife team of Mr. Duong Ngoc Hoa and Mrs. Tran Thi Lam. Especially, the latter is one of the most successful entrepreneurs who had received many merits from Vietnam Government for her business contributions.
Over many years of establishing and developing, Hoa Lam has been constantly growing together with large-scale international projects.
In 1999, Hoa Lam Trading and Manufacturing Company Limited was established, focusing on motorbike manufacturing with the trading name Halim.
In 2004, to be a multi-industry company, Hoa Lam Car – Motorbike Joint Stock Company has changed its name to Hoa Lam Development and Investment Company as well as establishing Hoa Lam-Kymco Joint Venture Company in manufacturing, assembling and trading scooters under the brand name Kymco.
In 2006, Hoa Lam had joined the stock market with a large investment to Vietnam Thuong Tin Commercial Bank where Mr. Duong Ngoc Hoa is Chairman of the Board of Directors. On February 2, 2007, Vietnam Thuong Tin Commercial Bank launched a new branch in Soc Trang City under the new named Vietbank. One year later, Vietbank opened its first branch in Ho Chi Minh City at 02 Thi Sach, District 1. Vietbank has been expanding up to 96 branches all over the country in the last 8 years.
In 2008, the Prime Minister assigned an area of 37.5 hectares in Binh Tan District for Hoa Lam Investment and Development Joint Stock Company to develop the “Medical City” project with 6 hospitals and associate service centers responsive to international standards.
Hi-Tech Healthcare Park Hoa Lam – Shangri-La was established with a total investment of up to US$1 billion. Subsequently, Hoa Lam has successfully worked with investors from South Korea, Japan and many more countries trading centers, food industry and human resource training projects at the Hi-Tech Healthcare Park.
Early in 2010, Hoa Lam participated in the real estate market. In July 2013, Hoa Lam was opened the first Lim Tower with 34 floors at 9 -11 Ton Duc Thang Street, District 1, HCMC. In September 2015 the 18-story Lim Tower 2 wa put into operation located at the intersection of Cach Mang Thang Tam and Vo Van Tan street in District 3.
December 10, 2013, a cooperation agreement between Hoa Lam and AEON Japan to develop Aeon Mall in Binh Tan District with a total investment of about US$130 million was finalized. The construction of this project will be carried out within the precincts of the Hi-Tech Healthcare Park Hoa Lam – Shangri-La with an area of 4.7 hectares. In January 2014, Hoa Lam officially inaugurated the City International Hospital.
In July 2015, Hoa Lam Investment and Development Joint Stock Company began construction on a new international hospital with the cooperation of People’s Hospital 115 under the public-private partnership (PPP) format. Hoa Lam International Hospital is the second one out of the 6 hospitals in the Hi-Tech Healthcare Park.
